Think You Know?
GR over at Pottersblog asked a question on his blog that intrigued me. What do you think you know about me? Sitting and blogging, I think we all wonder what we’re projecting. What image do you have of me from reading my blog? What do I wear? What kind of shoes are in my closet? If I could only go to one concert this year, who would I see? What books have you read that you think I might like? If I had a day totally free, what would I do? If I had to eat the same thing every single day, what would I eat? What do you know about me? (No fair to take things from that thar last meme!)
Add: After reading a few comments, I feel a little weird about this bit of self indulgence.

I know you are bright, articulate, well-traveled and adventurous without being foolish or taking unnecessary risks. There is an overall "image" that developes from that. I imagine you as being very practical about the things that require practical consideration while having enough of the idealist present to keep you from getting bored or boring.
Books.. I imagine you read all sorts of things, across the spectrum. I believe you would like the Freya Stark book.
Now what were the rest of the questions?
Hm. Clothes. I imagine you wearing bohemian styles without getting way out there. Not like me, certainly, but just enough to catch attention.
The other things, I simply have no idea.
It's an interesting exercise but it also feels like I am being rather intrusive, guessing about your life that way. I believe you reveal the things you choose to reveal.
Although I truly wish you'd post a picture. If I, a pudgy middle-aged eccentric blue-eyed Thai girl, can do it ~ certainly you can. :)
Peace,
~Chani
I know you are smart and adventurous.
I see you as wearing comfortable clothes made of natural fibers, except for some microfleece outerwear. Your shoes are comfortable and will stand up to much walking and some weather.
If you had a free day you would go hiking with your puppy dog. You might be a vegetarian, i think you are but i can't remember.
Concert, hmmmm, how about Carmina Burana. Hell, i don't know.
Books, The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down,
I would guess you are fairly quiet unless you are comfortable in a situation.
How am i doing?
I know you are smart, articulate, intelligent have a sense of adventure and travel a lot. You do love reading. You are in touch with the world and yourself.
Other than that I got nothing. :)
I see that free day clearly, Lucia. Since you run an organization and travel all the time, I imagine you doing the opposite on a free day:
warm June weather, you sitting on a screen porch with your dog, a book, and an iced tea, pretty much all day, until the book is done and it is dinnertime.
i know that you are no nonsense, you've seen too much to take things otherwise, but you cloak it in whimsy and humor.
i know you care deeply for our world, and it causes you such pain and joy that it's impossible to capture in words.
You're kind to animals and children. You wear Birkenstocks and can't wait to go to Bonneroo this year. You love the way a fresh peach tastes. You have the Great Novel in your head. You sometimes dream you're in exotic lands, and then you go there. You are kind and bright, and would love to dance naked in the rain if you thought the neighbors wouldn't call the cops on you.
You are loyal. Intelligent and kind as before noted. A ravenous and eclectic reader. You love your dog. Enjoy independence and of course you're well traveled. You have cool nerves and a sense of protocol, but hesitations about certain foods offered you.
You are adventurous yet balanced. Clothes: breathable, flexible and comfortable. Free day: relaxing, working on art (make the time!), playing with your corgi.
And I will forever associate Carmen Miranda fruit hats with my mental image of you!
I haven't been reading long enough to have a really good sense of who you are or what you'd wear, but so far, I suspect you're fairly similar to me. Love to travel, love to learn, love to wear things that represent your journeys and your discoveries, and your bookshelf is probably quite diverse and intriguing. I suspect I could feel quite at home in your home AND would probably find lots of interesting reading material to get lost in.
Boo. I got to your blog a few days too late and I read all your truths before I got a chance to leave a comment. I think I would have been VERY close anyway.
I find you fascinating. Your blog is one of the first ones I click on. (I am a fan of someone who posts amazing pictures of the food she makes). Your sense of adventure is contageous.
