True or False?
Researchers at New York University say...
Women who were perceived as the most attractive tended to sway their hips when they walked. The most attractive men, on the other hand, tended to move their shoulders from side to side in a masculine swagger.
Are you a hip swayer or a swaggerer? (I think I might be a swaggerer myself!) Is this true? Or false?

Well I don't know how this reflects on my physical looks but I could NEVER figure out how to sway my hips. Knew a girl growing up who did it with flare, all the time. Boy did the boys see her coming. But the weird thing is they never really considered her very pretty. Well I ramble, but I don't swagger and I don't sway, at least I don't think I do.
I wonder though if it might be possible that our perception of people changes if they do swagger and sway? Do we perceive them as prettier? Perhaps the study could have gone the other way too...
I don't really do either. I walk purposefully. But i do know how to walk so that my boobs bounce just a little. I haven't used that walk in years. :)
I don't sway my hips much, but I too have perfected the walk so that my boobs bounce! This is a very effective weapon and must be used with caution!
Was that included in the survey???
LOL! Um. Neither. Honestly. I'm short and heavyset. It just doesn't.. well... occur to me.
I don't notice whether others do or not. I'm drawn to the bookish-looking sorts.
Peace,

Speaking as a guy, we do notice the hip sway. And how. I honestly can't say that I've noticed any kind of correlation between sway/not sway and attractiveness, though.
I did ask my wife once, recently, "does that wiggle come standard or do they have to learn it?" She said "Both. And it varies with the shoes." :-)
I'd probably go with more of a swagger. My hips are WAY too big to be swingin.
No swaying or swaggering for me. I'm usually just trying not to trip.
However, high heels make it almost impossible to walk with out a bit of wiggle.
Not that I even wear high heels.
I'm built too low to the ground for anyone to notice. Unless I'm on stairs. Then look out, it's sway city!
I kind of bounce when I'm happy though.
A girl in high-school was accused me of "walking all sexy" in front of her cro-magnon-like boyfriend. I was shocked that I was walking any particular way and that she thought I could actually like her boyfriend.
I also doubt the validity of her observation.
I do a bit of both.
But I totally agree - the way one walks definately affects their sex appeal.
I think this may be overrated? I have never noticed that correlation and neither do I have a clue about how I walk.
Damn. Now, for the nest week, I'm going to be thinking about whether or not I'm moving my shoulders. . .
My booty makes a boom-chicka-boom motion when I walk. It's not conscious, it's simply the shape of my derriere, a little too round or something....
oh, those hip swayer girls. i think it's sexy. i can't do it, though...when i try, i end up tripping. not as sexy when that happens.
I wonder if that's what makes high heals attractive to some people. They sort of force the wearer into an exaggerated side-to-side motion.
I swish my hips...
But it's only because I have duck feet. :0/
Hmmm, I don't have a reason to swagger any more, so I'm a weave and tail swish kind of guy. I don't watch myself walk, but I will be checking out everyone else for the next week.
I SWING those hips, honey!!!!
I think I lower my eyes and slink around, unless the two large dogs are being walked, then I am often being dragged down the street.
