The diversity of blogs is a wonderful thing. After finishing Rae Meadows' book "Calling Out," I wasn't ready for it to be over. And so I wound up in blogland on some sites of call girls. I was fascinated. These blogs were in no way overtly sexual and definitely not raunchy. They struck me as smart women discussing real topics in what Rae calls "the industry." A few recent topics included:
Can clients fall in love with escorts? Does sex in real life feel like unpaid labor? Is it viable to escort and have a relationship? Do escorts become diassociated from their work? Is it OK to throw on old clothes when seeing a past client?

I appreciate people in whatever they're venturing into--sending kids to school, canning, writing, collecting quotes, thinking about their childhoods, work, travel, growing facial hair--reflecting on it in their blogs. It's wonderful to get glimpses into world that are not my own.
